NEW UNIVERSAL SURGE
SUPPRESSOR TO PROTECT ALL I/O MODULES AVAILABLE
FROM CIRCUIT COMPONENTS
INC.
TEMPE, AZ -- Circuit Components Inc (CCI)
has announced the availability of the SPU Series of I/O module
surge suppressors. The new series is a universal product that
can be used with either Allen Bradley I/O modules for control
instrumentation or with other manufacturers’ I/O modules
or PLC’s.
The SPU Series is designed to provide protection
from lightning induced surges, EMF fast transients and EMI/RFI
noise. It is available in base modules for 1 to 20 point applications
and 20-40 point applications.
The new series is equipped with terminal
blocks on both the equipment and field sides which allow the user
to hard wire any configuration of I/O modules or PLC.
Performance exceeds severity level 4 of IEC
1000-4-4 (electrical fast transient) and 1000-4-5 (surge immunity)
and brings equipment into compliance with ANSI/IEEE C37.90. 1-1989 & C37.90.2-1995.
Subnano second response time stops failures
due to lightning, spikes and overvoltage surges while filtering
all other electrical noise. Automatic reset and failsafe design
requires no maintenance and eliminates "Out-of-Service" downtime.
CCI offers a broad line of electrical suppression and filtering devices with
a product line numbering over 200 models providing the most comprehensive product
line for transient suppression/filtering in the industry.
