Hybrid-Type Transient
Voltage Suppressors from CCI
Pass UL 497B Listed
Requirements
Tempe, AZ--Circuit Components, Inc. (CCI),
has been notified that its hybrid-type transient voltage surge
suppressors have recently passed the UL 497B listed requirements
for data communications and fire alarm circuits.
Underwriters Laboratories, North Brook, IL,
conducted the testing. The devices tested are suppressors intended
for data transmission, telecommunication, 4-20mA loops and general
applications. The suppressors protect integrated circuits and
the sensitive semi-conductors they contain from surges generated
by lightning, inductive switching and electrostatic discharges.
The CCI products receiving this UL listing
are used in control rooms and in field equipment. The UL listed
products include: SPR-TM, SPR-42US, SPT-42U, SPU-420, SPN-42,
SPT-43U, SPN-43, and SDD-400.
The UL 497B rating indicates that these surge
suppressors have very low breakdown ratings (clamping voltage).
This ensures that equipment will continue to operate even when
it is subjected to extremely fast transients of 100 Volts per
microsecond.
CCI offers a broad line of electrical suppression
and filtering devices, with a choice of over 200 models. The company
provides the most comprehensive line of transient suppression
and filtering products in the industry.
