Board Stiffeners are RoHS Compliant
TEMPE, AZ -- Circuit Components Inc. (CCI), announced that the company's line of Rigid/Bus® board stiffeners have been RoHS compliant since "before there was RoHS. Due to the nature of the materials used to manufacture all configurations--one or two layers, insulated or uninsulated--our Rigid/Bus® products are in full compliance with the RoHS Directive 2002/95/EC of the European Parliament and of the council of 27 January 2003, with no exceptions required" said Kevin O'Connor, CCI Quality Assurance Manager. "As the compliance deadline fast approaches, this will eliminate any need for replacement part numbers or, even worse for customers, change dates for conversion to compliant parts" he continued. Rigid/Bus® board stiffeners perform double duty in not only keeping circuit boards from flexing during wave solder, but also carrying power and ground currents as PCB bus bars. This can save considerable board real estate as the need for wide power and ground traces is eliminated. The products are available in a wide variety of standard sizes and pin arrangements, as well as in custom designs for a particular customer application.
