Rigid/Bus ®
Rigid/Bus® is the trade name for CCI’s
Board Stiffeners and Printed Circuit Bus Bars. These Power Bus Bars and Ground Bus Bars are used in Printed Circuit
Boards and they include the following constructions and applications:
Copper Bus Bars:
Consisting of one or two layer power and ground bus bars, they can
carry up to 64 Amps, eliminating the need for heavy traces. In addition
to the power and ground distribution function, they can also be used
as board stiffeners to protect PC boards from cracks on solder joints
and PC Board traces. Furthermore, the use of these components decreases
vibration and shock damage.
Brass Board Stiffeners:
Single layer brass bars with or without self-retaining features, they
are used to provide PC board rigidity or to provide power and ground
distribution.
